Facing computer service hell, fled to help @LisaMechaley test a new @hhnaturemuseum hike. http://t.co/ECbRDz5R2M Ahh. http://t.co/zAqwyfGeUs

Several hours of my day were consumed in the special circle of hell one enters too often when dealing with telephone "assistance" on computer problems.
So I was happy to flee for two hours to the woods across the Hudson River in Harriman State Park, where my wife, the education director for the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, was heading to test out a possible new route for one of the "fitness hikes" she leads. We got a bit lost, ending up around the far side of Turkey Hill Pond. And even smart phones are of little help in that part of the highlands.
Another easier trail will likely be chosen. But it was a very happy kind of lost, as the Twitter item above hopefully conveys.
Having the ability to disconnect, even briefly, in such a beautiful place is a daily gift — even something to sing about.
